In response to the angry sleep deprived residents of Ngunnawal we’ve had this in:

About the thread on the supermarket. The jongler got it right in that we did not know that the alarm was being triggered until a smart resident spoke to us on Saturday. The issue is being addressed and I am told it hasn’t occurred since Friday night. If the residents had approached us we would have addressed it immediately. People need to understand that alarms are triggered for different reasons and the monitoring station seemed to have ignored this alarm which is also being addressed. You might want to post this on the story and suggest that not all people read these sites and that whinging on social media does not fix the problem. A user of this thread bought the story to our attendtion Monday 21st.
Also what sort of administrator allows a person the register with the name Pork Hunt.
Contact me if you wish.
Two things:
1) Whinging on social media does seem to have fixed this problem.
2) How about I come down to your supermarket and tell you how to do your job?

The problem has been fixed. In reply to Innovation…yes an alarm was visible on the panel but it was a high temp alarm that does not (should not) trigger an audible alarm just notifies us of a refrigeration problem. It appears there was a faulty resistor in the panel that was triggering the audible alarm but the monitoring station and the person resetting the panel would not have known this.
The problem was addressed on Saturday but we did not know this thread existed until this morning hence the posting of the email today.
In closing we do apologise to the affected people and please in future notify problems directly to us so we can act in a more timely manner.
