Spare a thought for anyone having to deal with Ed Pearson, the Lord’s soldier

By johnboy 2 August 2013 39

A rare piece of nuttery in my inbox this friday afternoon from a charming fellow called Ed Pearson who opened his epistle thusly:

People,

So you think Islam is a religion of peace ? Read this, the link to the original is at the bottom. It is what the ACT political system which consists of two factions of the one party, AKA US style, proponents of poofter marriage and supporters of Islam are working towards.

What is described here is what will happen to our children and grand children if the Islamic invasion and moral rot is not stopped. Deny reality if you wish, they will be your children.

The article is from the Gatestone Institute which is admirably documented by LoonWatch.

It relies on the same old story of finding one example of abhorrent activity and tarring a whole group who have a shared characteristic with it.

Considering what white christians get up to on Pitcairn Island you’d think we’d be careful with that kind of thinking.

Best of all is Ed’s sign off:

Ed,
The Lords Soldier.

Frankly Ed I’m more scared of you than I am of any Muslims.

What’s Your opinion?

Of course, Muslims have a monopoly on being violent fanatics. Nobody else would ever use violence or terrorism to further their fundamentalist agenda.

So you found a whole 10 examples?! There are probably that many a day in places like Nigeria or Pakistan.

Play the ball, not the man.

At the risk of simply feeding the trolls I have to admit I feel a little disappointed in RA here, or at least specific individuals, ok sure slag off the organisations and certified “sane” individuals who put forward propaganda rubbish that we as individuals might disagree with but here we have an individual with (at his own admission on his FB page) a real mental illness (otherwise why would Belconnen Mental Health team be “harrassing” him) being ridiculed.

How about sparing a thought for him as an individual, someone with a legitimate medical mental illness, in need of treatment, not derision. would you treat him differently if he had an acquired brain injury? mental retardation? unbalanced sugar levels due to uncontrolled diabetes? brain tumour?

There needs to be (at least in my opinion) more compassion shown to those who suffer from mental illnesses, while there are those of us (myself included) who are compliant with medication and therapy regimes and get on with our lives as normally as we can there are those in the community because of the severity of their condition for whom this is beyond their immediate control and they are the ones in need of support not to be called names. The so called “problems” that these people are seen to cause will remain a “problem” until the stigma of mental illness is eliminated and they can receive the care that they need.

Ok getting off my soapbox now, but in parting, if you’re the kind of person to make fun of the mentally ill, or to swear at and abuse people for behaviours due to a medical issue beyond their control then, in my view it is you who deserves derision not them.

Thanks for that, but I’m more alarmed than amused by Mr. Pearson’s delusions. He’s obviously (to everyone but himself) harassing the girls at the pharmacy, and I feel sorry for them as much as I do for him. That’s why I wish we could section people here, get them professional assessment and help to hopefully minimise potentially criminal behaviours that result from delusions brought about by mental illness.

Why is everyone referring to a Beavik? Could you possibly mean Breivik?

….And not permitting someone to have authority in certain situations is just a little different from condoning rape by saying that a man can not be expected to control his desires toward a women any more than a stray cat should be expected to control its desire to eat a piece of meat discarded in the street, don’t you think?

Even that abhorrent nature of that statement is very dependant on context. For example, if you amend to the end of the quote “…and like a stray cat, such men should be stoned to death on sight…” it becomes, while still extreme rhetoric, hardly condemning of rape.

“…There is no god…” Psalm 14:1

Thanks for clearing that up, I feel better already.

OK, for a sense of perspective, let’s just consider the following:

Who believes women are “like cat meat”, Ed Pearson, or a community that chooses to live in Australia but rejects Australian values?

1.”I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man. She must be quiet.” (1 Timothy 2:12)

Who hangs around school gates looking for girls to machine-gun in order to discourage women generally from getting an education because they think women should essentially be slaves, Ed Pearson, or some other mob the lefties don’t like to see criticised?

Go, now, attack Amalek, and deal with him and all that he has under the ban. Do not spare him, but kill men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep, camels and asses.” (1 Samuel 15:3)

Ed Pearson may be weird, but essentially he has identified the enemy, an enemy that is currently the benefit of much apologism and appeasement, and an enemy that is a pretty clear threat to our faltering civilisation.

The irony is, the first to suffer at the hands of these latter-day nazis will be the lefties. The rest of us who are already resisting aren’t their main target. Although Ed Pearson can probably expect a knock at the door…

Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses. So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled. Ezekial 23:19 – 21.
.

You’re all as crazy as each other.

Yes, you can make it say pretty much whatever you want if you selectively take snippets out of context:

“…There is no god…” Psalm 14:1
(see here for the context http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=psalm%2014&version=NKJV)

And not permitting someone to have authority in certain situations is just a little different from condoning rape by saying that a man can not be expected to control his desires toward a women any more than a stray cat should be expected to control its desire to eat a piece of meat discarded in the street, don’t you think?

Worth noting Beavik thought himself a lord’s soldier. There is something very wrong with our mental health system.

Did the people who fire-bombed Dresden get medals or straight-jackets?

You do realise that at this time there was a war going on, as in a World War, which should give you a hint as to the size of this war, considering that the world is a bit bigger than say, Tasmania, or Upper Volta, which, when viewed in isolation could be seen as being big, but really aren’t in the whole scheme of things.

Besides that, I’m pretty sure Beavik didn’t fly a Lancaster. He may have have flown a pathfinder Mosquito, but again, I doubt it.

But this has nothing to do with the original post so we’ll get back to Ed Pearson, who is obviously a bigoted nutter.

Of course, Muslims have a monopoly on being violent fanatics. Nobody else would ever use violence or terrorism to further their fundamentalist agenda.

Find me any community that considers women deserve to be raped because they are “like cat meat” and I will condemn them. So far, I can find only one.

I must have also missed the “right-wing christian” death threats and riots following publication of cartoons depicting Jesus.

Muslims may not have a monopoly on violent fanaticism, but I am frankly not even the slightest bit concerned about Buddhist race-hate rape gangs prowling Sydney streets or violent riots by Scientologists in reponse to the suggestion that their religion is a political movement with an intrinsic attraction to violence as a means of furthering its grip on thw world.

You have to give props to the guy for maintaining such high standards of spelling and grammar, even when it appears he is in the grip of a debilitating mental illness. I do have to wonder what benefit there is in holding his ramblings up for scrutiny and ridicule, especially if we consider that any one of us or our loved ones might one day be similarly afflicted by poor mental health. Can you imagine how difficult and uncomfortable recovery would be if our lesser moments existed on the internet as a permanent and very public reminder of our frailty?

Take note, *that* is an actual homophobic racist that has no rhyme nor reason behind the hatred. Not someone that is merely taking an informed opposing view on a particular topic.

Using religion as his vehicle for what he personally believes in can’t be healthy. I’d be pointing to either someone leaving their PC unlocked at the nursing home or some mentally deficient individual who honestly believes they strap on ‘the lord’s armour’ each time they step outside. I wonder if the guy practices self-flagellation, perhaps he’s not *that* much of a lord’s soldier.

I could see quite clearly there was something wrong in her life. She did not look well.

At the time I didn’t consider it my place to say anything but nevertheless as I was concerned I studied her hoping for an opportunity to at least offer a word of comfort and what I came to realize is that she is being oppressed to the point where she has no will of her own. This was a terrible realization when she is such a beautiful Young Lady.

The question as to who is doing this to her and why soon arose and the only type of person capable of doing this to her I can think of is some sort of Doctor. Then of course is the question of why? No one would go to the trouble of oppressing her to the point she is without a powerful reason. One reason could be sexual and the rest followed when it is considered 90% of male Drs take sexual advantage of all their vulnerable patients. Young Ladies are particularly vulnerable to these perverts unless they have been well schooled and even then they can fall prey.

90% of male Doctors take sexual advantage of their patients. Well I’ll be that’s the last time I let my wife go to the GP by herself

I wrote along a similar line in response to a candidate in the last ACT election who claimed to be God-fearing and that the voice of God was talking to him, and it bears repeating for this latest “Christian warrior”.

This type of fanatical religious fundamentalism has striking similarities to schizophrenia, in fact reading this man’s propaganda and responses I would say that he is at the extreme end of the spectrum regarding this form of mental illness.

The belief that you are God or Jesus Christ and the hearing of voices in the head – in this case the supposed voice of God – and his delusional behaviour as well as acute paranoia – “the Muslims are taking over” – are the classic signs of schizophrenia, and if left untreated could very well constitute a threat to public safety if he is moved to act upon his irrational thoughts.
