Spirit of 'Red Symons' at Dancing With the Stars

Did anyone else see in Wednesday’s Canberra Times Gazza ‘Red Symons’ Humphries judging comments from the Snowy Hydro’s Dancing with the Stars night?

For a politician he unusually has a wicked sense of humour:

To Wayne Berry: “Not bad Wayne, but you seem to be swinging to the left a bit.”

To Simone McKinnis: “You gave me the impression of Paris Hilton making a bolt from Los Angeles jail.”

To Michael Milton: “I’m deducting two points for cheating, Michael. The other dancers seem to have trouble knowing where to put two feet; only having one is a distinct advantage”.

To Natalie Forrest: “Who chose the music? I’ve had obscene phonecalls that sounded better than that!”

To Brendan Smyth: “You’ve got to be better briefed for these things mate. Tonight’s program was meant to be based on Dancing with the Stars, not Survivor:Guatemala. You were shaking Raelene hard enough to look as if you were bringing down some coconuts for your dinner.”

To Annette Ellis: “I liked you playing the coquette Annette. Why not try that in the House of Reps? I’m sure that would go down well with the Speaker.”

He apparently also told the journo that they should try pole dancing next time!!!

With these lines – Red Symons would be proud!!!

Thanks Mutley, once again, I have no connection to any party, I do lean to the left on many issues and think that the Libs are well on the nose and want to add some balance to the I’m-alright-Jack-lefty-bashing-neocon slant on this board.

I’ll comment on other posts when I have something worth adding to the discussion

Chuckle, not bad! I guess you can see he’s got a sense of humour from the way he behaves in public. It’s a shame pollies get attacked if they cut loose a bit and say what they want to say.

Well, I’m not a politicist. I hate all parties equally.

Our tax dollars at work – staffer paid to jot down pithy bon mots for a sorry astro-turfing campaign.

I’m guess Wayne Berry and Annette Ellis are also in on the great conspiracy, eh Pierce? Try commenting on anything other than the Libs through your Labor Hack-coloured glasses.
