KieranAP from Adventure Paintball (RiotACT’s paintball field of choice) has been posting and commenting on RiotACT for years now, normally on paintball related issues.

He was also one of our earliest advertisers here, even back in the halcyon “Case of Coopers” days.

So we’re very happy that Kieran has found the relationship so beneficial that he’s now taken the plunge to become a sponsor.

He’s been running Adventure Paintball at Tuggeranong Pines on the corner of the Monaro Highway and Old Tuggeranong Rd (Opposite Chisholm, 15 mins from the CBD) since May 2005.

Currently they have 180 markers (paintball guns) and run seven different fields with another two under construction, enabling every form of paintball to be played.

With the legal changes which took effect on 15 January Adventure Paintball can now cater to youths aged 16 and up, and with recently installed lights paintball is no longer just a weekend activity. You can book in for after work painty mayhem. The changes to legislation also allow personal ownership of markers, bring the ACT in line with NSW and allowing truely fanatical players to own their own markers.

For those who are averse to getting hit, or the 7-16 year olds, Adventure Paintball also offer laser tag.

Kieran says an average customer pays $80 for a four hour session, including drinks, paint, and pizza. Players who like spraying the paint around however, are going to end up paying more.

It’s not just for boys either, he says growing numbers of women are chancing their arms on the fields, with added padding provided.

Kieran prides himself on dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s and is keen to point out that Adventure Paintball has never had a safety incident.

If you don’t have enough people for a group they can try and fit you in with other small groups (the more the merrier) but you’re advised to call and discuss it.

For the bucks and hens there’s also some pretty special tailored packages which will take the load off any best man or maid of honour’s shoulders.

Had my first experience there this morning with a mixed group of about 20, and can highly recommend the experience for females. My husband won the honour of most paintballs purchased so agreed it is not necessarily cheap. But shaded rest/game areas combined with great refereeing/staff, excellent safety, pizzas and spray bottles made for a great first time experience. Yes I have the bruises but the boys have more 😉

We had a bucks there a few months ago and it was great. I’d highly recommend the guys there and the different scenarios and field setups. We had a great time and after the zombie attack scenario had the bruises to prove it. Apparently I squealed like a stuck rabbit… a girly rabbit…and I haven’t lived it down since.

Few things taste worse than painball paint, and a paintball in the kidneys was a gift that kept on giving.

It’s not bad, expensive afternoon thought.

I’ve never done it before but I really really want to. I think my fiancee is organising something for work which I get to tag along to so looking forward to that.

This place is awesome. Went there with a group of triathlete friends a couple of months back & had a great day (they said they’d never had a group as fit as us before!). Easily the best run of the 3 or 4 painball places I’ve been to.
