Although it feels like the kids have only just gone back to school, teachers are already on the countdown to the end of term at the end of the month.

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, the bees are getting very friendly with the flowers and of course Floriade had the usual colourful opening weekend. Some of you will be heading North to catch the advanced heat of the summer to come, some of you will be heading South into the mountains for the last gasp of winter. Others will wisely stay in Canberra for spring.

With that in mind, what are you planning to keep the family entertained as the weather warms up and during the spring holidays?

How bout school holiday music!

I’m shutting down the studio and giving all my piano students the week off so that we can take a break from all that hard work and just enjoy a musical school holiday.

I’m offering lessons from the Mums and Bubs level through to high schoolers. I’m focusing on our relationship with music, how we enjoy it and share it with each other. I will also focus on listening skills and help each group understand a little more about how we read and write music.

The classes for smaller children will be perfect for mums and dads hoping to get their kids off to a flying start with their new instrument or to see if they have an interest in beginning an instrument. High school students will be able to broaden their music vocabulary as we explore music for different instruments and from different times.
