Stanhope attacks Big Z’s human rights record.

By Thumper - 12 February 2008 16

IBN News is reporting that CM Jon Stanhope has gone on the attack over the opposition’s human rights policy record, demanding that Canberra Liberals leader Zed Seselja clarify exact what the party stands for.

“It is currently Liberal policy to abolish the Human Rights Commission, for example,” Mr Stanhope said.

Is it? Or has this just been made up? And given that the Z man has never actually been in power, how can Stanhope know what his human rights record is, given that in effect, he doesn’t have one.

What’s Your opinion?

The question that would be more relevant is how the libs plan to manage the Territory’s municipal functions.

Stanhope belongs in the shed with Ingee, Junkett, Maelinar and all the other tools.

Troy Hard?

Holden Caulfield 5:36 pm 12 Feb 08

I would have thought Menage A Troy would have been more likely for a porn nom de plume.

Ari 5:12 pm 12 Feb 08

Troy Williams does sound like a pornstar nom de plume.

Hehehehe… After mentioning this to our CIO, Troy is no longer classed as a sexpot and his website is clearly viewable again.

The ACT Election Policy page is nothing but section titles, the Announcements page shows they haven’t announced anything since March 2007, and their Policy Platform is four years out of date.
The only person I know of who was seeking candidacy, I can’t view their site as its apparently sexually explicit and unsafe to view from work.

Go ACT Libs!
Anyone know just what we’re going to do with the ACT Greens in Government, possibly with their first majority?

Without doubt, she’ll be a doozy of an election…

Skidbladnir 3:38 pm 12 Feb 08

Now that the ACT Election has come up in Conversation, anyone know why Troy William’s page now gets blocked by MIMESweeper for being Sexually Explicit???

Unfortunately the Canberra Liberals “ACT Election Policies” page is just a series of headlines, with no actual content behind them. Which seems oddly appropriate…

Indeed. Actually I expected more dirt digging and mud slinging from the recent Federal election. While we had the Jackie Kelly balls up, I thought the main protagonists might have pulled their sleeves up and had a go as well. It was pretty tame in the end.

So, perhaps out little country town will liven things up! 😛

Thumper 3:25 pm 12 Feb 08

And extremely dirty one would suggest…

Welcome to another long and drawn out election campaign.

The ACT Libs may need to paint and plant a few logs for some unknow tragic event that we as a nation had no actual hand in. Maybe a memorial to the Armenians killed by Attaturk or the citizens of Athens who suffered under the Ottoman empire.

If it wasn’t current policy, wouldn’t it just take 3 seconds for a non-lazy journo to check that out.

Seems like a fair enough question, given that Zed is the official party leader.
