Stanhope to Employ Displaced Commonwealth Staff

i found it remarkably interesting that Comrade Jon has offered to place any Commonwealth PS who’s job is lost to the current round of savings measures.

Call me cynical or bitter or whatever, but this time last year 550 odd ACT PS lost their jobs, (I escaped about two weeks before I was to be made redundant). So if a year ago 550 jobs had to go, where have all of these ‘new’ jobs miraculously appeared from?

Did you notice that stanhope is conducting his own 2020 forum? What a Kevin wannabe!!!!

Who would want to work for the Stanhope government anyway. Their working conditions are pitiful compared to the Commonwealth.

As of the 12th of Feb, we still get Melbourne Cup day off.

Check it!

Paddytrick: ISTR that the Melbourne Cup public holiday has been cancelled – I believe it was announced just after the election… 🙂

It’s all speculation at this stage, as there’s nothing really coming out yet about the budget and what’s going. So far we’ve heard of various payments and handouts going, but nothing useful of programs or agencies. although the tenor of what we’ve heard so-far does suggest something’s goign to happen.

But they keep banging on about all the jobs they can’t fill in the APS, so surely they are capable of using transfers etc rather than job losses? Redundancies are expensive.

If they really want to save money, just slicing through all the last performance assessment rounds, and lopping off SES and EL grades who came in below the line would work wonders.

I’ve noticed a trend to having smaller sections, branches and divisions across several departments. slicing out those Directors, Branch heads and division heads and making sections, branches and divisions larger would also save a motz.

Now enough with your whinging about our Dear Leader, remember him fondly when you’re sipping a beer and enjoying the cup on Drinking and Gambling day.

The mayor is screeching for some recognition as the Labor party holds power everywhere.

Sadly, for him, they all think he’s a dickhead – who can argue?

This is another cry to try and satisfy relevance -sadly the ego trip just costs us all.

And guess who gets to pay for them?

Sonic. Go!
