Star crossed lovers. Or something.

The Canberra Times reports of Canberra’s own Romeo and Juliet passing like ships in the night through our “justice” system.

I am not sure if readers are meant to thrill with the excitement at the idea of these star crossed lovers perhaps stealing an embrace before being brutally torn apart or whether we are meant to groan with dismay that a “career crook” is about to hit the Canberra ‘burbs once again.

Ultimately I opted for a general shrugging of the shoulders – meh. Was anyone else tantalised by the headline and disappointed by the content?

She’s doing crime with another man while her partner is in jail? – wow is she in for an ass kicken when he gets out.

An ass kicken – is that some kind of garment for the nether regions?

LOL forgive my spelling – my brain likes to mess with me and not work on occasion

It’s not cheating if he’s in gaol.

And in 2004,

“Taras Twerd, 30, of Queanbeyan, was found guilty in the ACT Magistrates Court in May of stealing items worth about $7400, including a computer, digital camera, portable keyboards, coins and a mobile phone from a Deakin home he had been engaged to paint late last year. “

So, he’s had his two chances. Lock him up for good.

This is really interesting.

We had our house painted earlier this year. In order to make more room for the painters, Mr Cholet put a lot of the furniture in our large garage and moved our second (rarely used) car outside the front of our house. As we needed to use the car the following week, rather than put it back in the garage for 2 days, we left it there. On the Monday morning, 3 days after the painters left, the car was broken into and the tail lights stolen. Nothing else, just the tail lights. They left the bulbs and wires hanging there and everything. They needed to break into the car in order to open the back door so as to unscrew the lights. A very professional job as they damaged nothing in the process of gaining entry to the car.

It may be just a coincidence I know (Mr Cholet, having a ‘colourful’ past, does not believe in coinicdences), but we have lived at our address since 2005 and have never had any issue at all so this was clearly a targeted robbery.

Strangly enough, not too long after this occured, Mr Cholet read that a Massey had been arrested for some offence and noticed his occupation was listed as a ‘painter from Maswon’. Mr Cholet would like to see whether any of these individuals or their families owns a Sirion. Mr Cholet has a large, thick stick he wishes to take to the vehicle if he sees it (there is a minor anomoly with one of the lights, very noticable).

Silly thing is, we got some lights shipped down from a wreckers in Sydney for $120. Hardly worth the effort of the robbery really.

How about a website we could call “Crimwatch” which could use court records to document all known criminals and relying on user-generated content to track where they are now, what cars they drive, etc…

That would be handy.

The pro-crime types like WM-C wopuld get themselves into a good lather over it, too, which would provide extra entertainment.

You’ll quickly find that even convicted criminals can hire defamation lawyers.

That d1ck Taras Twerd (not being racist, but the name sound Ukrainian to me) is a low-life scum.Back in 2007 he stole a TV from….. Children’s ward at Canberra hospital Twert steals TV .
Not surprised that he was/is a resident of Charnwood (LOL) Twert disturbs da hood
Just this year he wanted to appeal his sentence as “excessive”- http://www.courts.act.gov.au/judgment/printable/3632

If you want more to read- google him.
Violet69 can probably find reasonable explanation for this behaviour? 🙂

it could be a new plotline for housos on SBS – it is scarily realistic

This really is the shallow end of the gene pool. And way overdue for some chlorine.

Why does this sound like she would rather be in “the big house” rather than Ngunnawal when he gets out.

…and I am sure they will be together soon enough anyways.

Twerd? More like twerp.

Other than that it provides a nice endpoint to the two other Riot Act stories about the fateful Black Kluger.

Oh, and the fact it mentions a Massey. Tends to get attention around these parts.
