Start planning the trip - Five tries through Ben Batger's wing ends Brumbies Season in humiliation

Scores even a few minutes into the second half and who could have forseen the horror to come?

Five tries through Ben Batger’s wing and the Hurricanes raced to 49 points, the most ever conceded by the Brumbies.

A weird late rally and two tries in two minutes at the death gave the Brumbies a pretty useless bonus point.

Planet Rugby have the grisly details up here.

It was late, and the Hurricanes had mostly gone home, but I thought Sam Norton-Knight showed potential as a fly half, enough to play him at inside centre and give Henjak more options, we really need to bring back “teh snappy”.

ABC Online has unusually lengthy coverage, courtesy of AFP.

What will happen next year to the blue and yellow hatted brigade next year? Memberships down by 20% I’d reckon. I love Canberra Bandwagoners.

Yeah rite! Go the RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!! straight to the bottom of the table hee hee

canberra and its bandwagon support crew
Go the RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!

If only they’d shown more loyalty to the ACT.

I stuck by them through 1998.

The wins are that much sweeter when you have to wait for them.

Oh how fickle you are. Come on, there is some honour to be had by sticking by a team during the tough times!
