It’s letting people know about local content on local TV.

Sounds good to me. That’s why we approved it.

My guess annie would be it’s in response to Stateline’s regular informing of what’s happening with them.

What the… why is the State Focus program advertising on this website? They’re trying to attract more viewers, obviously. Have you thought of producing a program that isn’t so boring and Canberra-centric most of the time? Although to be honest, I think one of my main problems with the program is the host. Ali Drower isn’t trained in journalism, and is really an entertainer. Perhaps that’s why she approaches most issues more lightly than a fairy floss stall attendant.

Although format-wise, I would like to see something more tightly focussed on our region. It looks State Focus is currently produced for the entire southern half of the state, instead of for the individual TV regions.

But having said that, I applaud Southern Cross Ten for actually having the guts to produce a regional current affairs program – Prime thinks that local content means community announcements and weather, plus a catchy slogan. As if…

Two questions SF:

Firstly, is this part of Channel Ten’s obligatory local news and current affairs? If so, can you explain to me what relevance Mark Vaile and a Wollongong family obssessed with some thugs have to the ACT region? And is the bushfire brigades story about ACT region firies?

The ABC and WIN do a generally decent job of producing interesting local news and current affairs, why can’t Ten and Prime do the same?

And secondly, why’s it being shown at a time when most people won’t be home or wanting to watch it huh?
