State of Origin Tickets up for grabs - who wants 'em?

I am in possession of 2 State of Origin tickets for tomorrow night’s Game [Ed – tonight’s by the time of publication] but, due to unforeseen circumstances, can’t go.

So as an exclusive offer to Rioters, I’m offering them here to the highest bidder. Now I’m not after anything for these tickets personally but I will give the money to a good Canberra based ‘community’ cause. Please contact me ASAP at berraboy68@gmail.com with your phone number if you want them.

I’d hate to see them go to waste.

Yep, Thanks astro. See my post at #11.

aww, feel the love! must say i, too, was bemused by the erroneous critiques of your moral standing, berraboy. did ya offload them in the end, btw?

Cheers Deckard. I thought it was obvious too. BTW: I don’t mind sharing the OP:)

Well done BB68.

+1 I thought from our OP it was obvious that you weren’t trying to make a profit.

Anyway, the game isn’t sold out is it? Why would anyone try to inflate the price when you can go to ticketek and buy one at the standard price?

Well done BB68.

Thx Nambucco:)

I will take them off your hands…but you pay me too due to the stupidity. On an opinion orientated blogging website you are advertising to sell tickets to a much loved game at an inflated price?

Haha someone didn’t think did they….

Not you, you clown, obviously.

The problem with idiots is that they’re always willing to voice an opinion and prove themselves to be so. So here’s the facts of my post. Feel free to reads the OP.

– Where’s any advertised inflated price? The ‘highest bidder’ could have been just $5. As it was they went to an acquaintance who is now taking his son to a State of Origin game he couldn’t have otherwise afforded, all for less than the cost of a pie and a beer;
– No scalping – see above;
– No personal benefit. I got a warm fuzzy feeling from helping somebody out with very cheap tickets while also helping a local charity with $10 – so sue me. I’m like that.

Skid – they weren’t advertised for a game on Thursday, the thread was posted to JB yesterday (Tuesday) and he only approved it today etc.

No point letting good tickets go to waste:)

No skin off my nose, either way,

That’s an interesting method there, moron: sell tickets for an inflated price to make money off something that’s not yours to make money off.

Next time you do intend on doing this (and aren’t concerned that you may be the lowest common denominator), maybe check to see if the event is sold out before encouraging inflated ticket prices for no-ones gain but your own.

I don’t like scalpers.

I don’t follow Rugby therefore I wouldn’t know that

Obviously, otherwise you’d know that Rugby doesn’t have a state of origin game.

It is, but only if they’re real.
Tickets to “Tomorrow’s State of Origin Game” (ie: Thursday 25 June, when the game is on tonight, Wednesday 24 June) though…
Caveat emptor?

Isn’t it illegal to sell them for more than face value?

It is.

I don’t want to go to the foopball, but can I put my hand up to be the good Canberra based ‘community’ cause? just in case you sell the tickets.

My bf’s mum won a contest today (got an sms about it today anyhow) to get flown to Sydney for the Origin and sit in a fancy corporate box type thing but she had to say no. Couldn’t get time off work tomorrow. Good luck with your endeavour though 🙂

There’s a game tomorrow night too now?

Isn’t it illegal to sell them for more than face value?
