* Survivors of the SIEV X tell their stories. 4 Years ago, on its way to Australia, the boat sank. 353 people drowned; mostly women and children.

* Ainslie residents don’t want a high rise aged care facility looming over their backyards.

* Beautiful backyards open this weekend: The Cay Garden, 2 O’Hagan St, Latham and the
Terrell Garden, 17 Woodgate St, Farrer.

* “Local Hero” – a funny short film by Brendan Sloane.

Friday at 7.30. Saturday at Noon.

they obviously postponed Brendan Sloane’s film “Local Hero”. Will it be shown at a later stage?

I have heard that it is one of the best shorts to come out of the ACT in years. And that he and his producer are developing a full series for sale to one of the networks.

Apologies, 44 survivors out of 400 according to their wikipedia entry

Congrats to Stateline for changing their line-up according to the day’s events and getting Stan the Man on. Big change from last week. And putting him second-up was good thinking.
JB, of course there were SIEV X survivors – do you think Stateline made it all up?
Watch the repeat tomorrow.

are they in 6 storey buildings?

My place backs onto a retirement village. Best neighbours I have ever had.

There were no survivors Mael.

As for the Goodwin Homes development in Ainslie, my understanding is that very large parts of the surrounding communities want it to go ahead and it’s largely arriviste yuppies whining.

I just hope that after 4 years, the survivors have been either repatriated or were sucessfully amalgamated into our society. I’d hate to see them still in detention.
