ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at The Statesman Hotel in Curtin last night (Friday, November 4).
About 10.30 pm a man entered the bottle shop attached to The Statesman Hotel and produced a large knife, demanding money from the staff member.
The staff member opened the cash register and allowed the offender to remove the cash drawer. The offender then ran from the shop with a sum of money.
The offender is described as being between 5’ 11” (180cm) and 6’ 3” (190cm) in height and of thin build. He was wearing dark-coloured long pants and a dark-coloured top. The offenders face was covered by a piece of clothing.
Anyone who may have witnessed the aggravated robbery at The Statesman Hotel or can assist police with their investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
