ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the theft of a dog from the RSPCA in Weston on the weekend.
Daisy, a female Maltese Terrier, went missing Sunday afternoon (January 23) from Monash. She was later found and taken to the RSPCA by a member of the public where she was kept overnight.
At 9 am Monday (January 23) morning when Daisy’s owner arrived at the RSCPA to collect her, it was discovered that she had been stolen.
Daisy’s enclosure (after-hours collection cage) had been broken into, with the plastic weather shield and cable ties cut, and the wire mesh pulled back with force to remove Daisy from the cage.
Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Daisy or can assist with the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
