Did anyone watch The Chasers war on Everything tonight? The Steve pratt cleaning up so called “graffiti” story was featured. In response the Chaser went and sprayed “Steve Pratt is a tool” on his office door.

Classsic.

[ED – Here’s the footage, note the Chaser boys cunningly never say which door is getting the works, too much time watching current affairs? or just getting ready for the big sellout?]

Of course I know Reucassel I went to school with him and Firth’s (if he’s still on the show) sister.

“Apehammer, no sh*t, how else are they going to get close to howard, its not supposed to be taken seriously or as fact.”
They often get close to Howard, and other senior pollies – as you would well know, being an ABC employee.

Well, ok. That still doesn’t tell us much. What’s the secret info? Did you know them?

Loved the Chaser send-up of the Pratt. BTW they did not claim that it was Pratt’s office.

The Chaser is like the Pro-Wrestling of Current Affairs – entertaining, but deep down you know it’s mostly staged.

apehammer, no sh*t, how else are they going to get close to howard, its not supposed to be taken seriously or as fact.

the chaser got it wrong. they said pratt painted over the graffiti.

Painting over it would have been the smart thing to do. Would’ve taken 5mins, not 5 hours.

Chaser is just a fun comedy show that makes people laugh every week.. Why are so many of you quick to put them down and analyze everything they do ?

Sounds like its jumped the shark.

“So the scarpering at the end was a bit of an affectation?”
Yep, reckon so. The skit where they were telling John Howard what a good job he was doing was definitely filmed at the Ultimo office and pieced together with Howard footage,

He’s not planning to apologise.

And he didn’t really remove the graffiti, he just made an awful messy smear out of an airbrushed artwork.

Does anyone know if he has apologised yet?

Looked like the ABC office in Ultimo to me.

he removed graffiti.

Agree that the Prattmeister is unlikely to win Mastermind, unless his special subject is being an attention-seeking dope. But my problem is that he’s not really all that much worse than nearly everyone else in the Assembly.

Pratt is a tool! When will the Libs wake up to this idiot.

Actually it was a public school (primary and high school).

I went to school with two of those twits.

Do tell.

Sydney Grammar or whatever old money school it was?

I went to school with two of those twits.

Those boys have ENORMOUS nuts.

“Pratt by name… Pratt by nature”

Perfect campaign slogan for the next local election.

As for whose office, they never said it was his office, nor really implied it. They just said they’d give him an example. But it was pretty sus how the camera angle showed only the doorway and then dipped to avoid showing the street as they ran off. Suspect it was Sydney too.

The Chaser is funny, but a lot of their pranks seemed staged. For example, the blonde woman in the intro to “Clive the…” siting to the left looks very similar to the blonde who was a passenger in the blind taxi driver test. Coincidently she was also in a prank last season too. And last season, a couple of the people used in clips filmed on the street where the chaser guys would do something to them looked very similar to former big brother housemates. Hmmm?

Still it was pretty funny though. I thought it was his office but thats ok.

It clearly wasn’t his office door.

It appeared to be filmed in the Sydney CBD, and they sprayed it on glass.

Nothing like letting the facts get in the way of a good story.

I thought about suggesting that The Chaser people appear in the National Gallery, ideally in front of, say, Blue Poles, wearing “Steve Pratt Graffiti Removal Team” and carrying buckets and brushes. But I forgot.

Lol, how funny…
