ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to two incidents that occurred in the Weston Creek and Woden area last night (Thursday December 9).
The first incident occurred around 9.40pm at the Weston Skate Park, Weston Creek, when four males, who were standing in the carpark, were approached by four male offenders who were in a green Holden Commodore and a white utility with a silver tray.
The offenders allegedly demanded the wallets and mobile phones from all four victims, with one offender producing a knife. The victims complied with the demands and were not injured.
A short time later two males at the Woden Skate Park were approached by two male offenders. The victims saw there was three other males present however they did not get involved.
The offenders challenged the victims to a fight which was declined. One of the offenders demanded the wallet of one of the men stating he would get stabbed if he did not comply. The victims returned to their cars where the offenders kicked at the driver’s window several times before leaving the area.
Police believe these incidents are related and the offenders may also have been responsible for the aggravated robberies which occurred overnight earlier this week (Monday December 6 and Tuesday December 7) in Weston, Erindale and Red Hill.
