it looks like we will have to wait for next year till we see the new 7TWO digital channel via Prime, so those of you who are fans of Heroes and quiet a few other shows might have missed the boat, or maybe.

Looks like some good shows being broadcast on the new stations eg GO! but as per usual when they say rolling out to all capital cities they don’t mean Canberra.

Hopefully Prime will be in a position to broadcast early 2010.

The permanent watermark is gone! Looks like Prime has finally worked out how to put their own ads and promos in and the prime watermark has moved to the existing watermark and on in shows.

Will freeview stay free for ever? I think once they get rid of the smokes thats when they will hit us.

The 7-2 Prime logo is bloody annoying. Is the meaning of ‘watermark’ too hard to understand at Prime HQ??

Yes well I had to reset my set top box as I couldn’t get WIN, no one tells you that could happen, just typed in browser and got instructions, works perfectly.

Theis bright orange 7Two On Prime logo is ridiculous and distracting, when there’s already a 7Two watermark on the broadcast bottom left.
Other than that there isn’t much to say, programming-wise it looks pretty average.

I was at a neighbours here in queanbeyan last night and they had 7Two on the television, it had the 7Two logo and everything, so im not sure what this is all about it not being available here because ive seen it with my own eyes, it is broadcasting here.

I’ll probably not be watching it for long periods. They have a solid orange watermark in the top right corner which is likely to burn into my 20″ LCD if I linger too long . . .

Yes that’s annoying, hopefully they will rectify it by placing it transparent down in the bottom corner. You own a LCD tv? Burning is pretty much only a problem with plasmas.. You’d have to have a very crap LCD for it to be a problem.

Damn, just as the kids realise “Dad” wasn’t being a total p*&%k by not getting pay TV, yet another free to air commercial channel comes along. No, I’m not totally naive – kids (& big kids included as I finally finish work and vent in front of the ‘puta) will watch TV/use technology – but more channels? WHY?

Oh well, if AFL and more Yank crap is all they are offering, the kids will continue to enjoy OUTSIDE AIR time.

Thanks for the heads up about this new channel! It made me have a look at the avaliable tv stations on my Home Theater PC where i discovered this extra stream of advertising.

I’m not getting any Electronic Program Guide (EPG) data at the moment, are you?

I do hope this is sorted out early next year before the AFL season begins. It was ridiculous that we had to have Heartbeat being shown and not the AFLF friday night game not shown live.

The anti-siphoning list doesn’t permit them to play the AFL live on a secondary channel. It’s on the main channel or not at all – and given AFL doesn’t rate in Canberra, its not gunna happen unfortunately.

More dumbed down, commercialised crap, comin’ at ya!

AFL is already live in Canberra on Friday nights on Channel 518 Main Event on Fox. Ad free and a great product. Its half the reason I subscribe to Foxtel.

7 Melbourne do not show games live against the gate – they are delayed until 8:30 there.

Channel 62, 9am.

Ah, the power of RiotACT!

Now if I can just get my tivo talking to my wireless I am set!

Time for the marketing department to come up with a new name – “7Two on Prime” doesn’t sound great with the regional tag at the end.

From Prime themselves, it’s funny how they sit on their asses for months knowing about the channel, then decide to launch it here with 2 days notice.

7 Two is actually more decent than GO! (less repeating the same shows for hours on end and multiple times a week). I enjoyed having it as an option while I was on holidays up in QLD.

yep just saw that myself… woot.. still there is the issue of will they rerun some of the already air series.. eg Heroes

I must admit I have been enjoying GO! lately. Good on you WIN. Time to catch up PRIME.

GO! actually did launch in Canberra at the same time it did in the ‘5 City Metro’ of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Many rumours swilling round as to when 7TWO will launch, and Prime aren’t helping matters by staying dead silent on the issue. The most persistent of rumours indicate they’re almost ready to go, and have done a bit of sneaky testing on Digital 62 in the wee hours, but with Christmas upon us, January is apparently the most likely.

As long as we get it in time for 24 and LOST, I won’t kick up too much of a fuss.
