Some research on charitable giving out of the Parliamentary Library is making some noise.
Despite not giving as much as the other states as a percentage of income, Canberrans are streets ahead when it comes to claiming a gift deduction on our tax. 50.7% of taxpayers claiming a deduction with NSW the next closest on just 43.7%.
I suppose Canberrans, by their nature, will tend to be better at paperwork.
