ESA have this information about being prepared for storms and general bad weather.
And as we are entering the Canberra storm season, as evident by the high winds we are experiencing, I would suggest that people give it a read.
The SES is the lead agency responsible for dealing with storms in the ACT. This includes planning for them and educating people about how to protect themselves and their property. During a storm, SES volunteers are responsible for managing storm debris, providing access to homes and businesses, making temporary repairs to storm-damaged structures and giving storm-safety advice.
Hopefully we won’t see you late at night when your roof no longer exists 🙂
