A search is underway tonight for a kayaker stranded along the Murrumbidgee River between Kambah Pool and Pine Island in Tuggeranong.
The alarm was raised after a group of kayakers discovered the person with a suspected serious leg injury at Red Rock Gorge.
One of the group made their way to Kambah Pool and alerted the ACT Ambulance Service.
One ACT Ambulance Service crew is stationed at Kambah Pool while the SouthCare Rescue helicopter searches the area to locate the patient and finders.
Three ACTSES units have been placed on standby to assist on foot if required.

SouthCare Rescue helicopter has pulled out of the search due to lack of light and terrain.
ACT Ambulance Service and ACT State Emergency Service crews on site at staging point waiting further advice from ACT Policing who have deployed a search team to the area.

The man was located by police and brought back to Kambah Pool around 9 o’clock last night.
He was treated on scene by ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics for minor injuries and exposure but was not transported to hospital.
