Strange deals at the Tradies

Remember how “licensed clubs” are supposed to be ploughing all their ill-gotten gaming machine revenue back into the community thereby excusing the social devastation they wreak on the stupid?

Today in the Canberra Times there is a very peculiar story on the strange dealings of the Dickson and Woden Tradies setting up IT companies and promising to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to their own board members if the whole deal comes off.

A real catastrophe for the community if this sort of thing was stopped. Not.

Geez,

Pretty crook, but only about one thousanth what Telstra and bank Executives spoon-feed themselves.

I’m sure I saw a tram on eBay recently…

Wow, the unions being involved in shady deals to line their own pockets – who the hell would have thought?

Where the hell are they going to find the IT business to just ‘spin off’ a guaranteed few hundred thousand dollars?

Oh that’s right, this is a dotcom bubble redux.

can you see the little piggies…

I don’t get it
I can see how its all pretty murky but I can’t see how they could possibly spin it to make it logical

Corruption and dodgy deals in the Clubs industry, especially at a Union run Club? Who would have thought it…
