The ABC has brought news that the Chief Magistrate has granted bail to an accused strangler, despite being held in custody since June.

The accused strangler is reportedly taking anti-psychotic medication, and presumably has been assessed as being of minimal risk to the wider community (we hope).

If he has “limited insight into his illness” how can he be trusted to continue his medication? And how will anyone know, in any case, unless they observe him swallow it? Presumably, “limited insight into his illness” also means “has not demonstrated remorse” …

I don’t think he makes a habit of being a strangalizer. I think he was as shocked as the next person. I mean, imagine if one second you fell asleep in your trakky daks and the next second you woke up and started strangalizing somebody. It would be one heck of a shock for me, I don’t mind saying. Next second, Special G’s knocking on your doorstep going, “Granny, what the?” and you’d be like, “Heck, I don’t know!”

One thing’s for sure, if my better half wants to crawl into bed in his trakky daks or his tuxedo or his greasy old overalls or yesterday’s undies I’ll be like, “What ever, dude ….” and go back to sleep.

Do we have a new export market?

I think he is going to Perth with his mum.

That’s OK then 🙂

As long as he strangalizes people in another jurisdiction… *rolls eyes*

No, thank YOU, Cahill…

I think he is going to Perth with his mum.

Another great example of the ACT Law system. So he has limited insight?? sounds like someone may become a repeat offender….

“…the accused had been complying with his medication regime but had limited insight …” He obviously qualifies for a job on the bench.
