Strip bars OK in the middle of the city as long as they float?

By johnboy - 22 June 2009 41

In the discussion surrounding threepaws’ image of a party boat on the lake Realityskin (who has a nose for these things) pointed out the Lakeside Ferry Cruises’ Party Strippers page.

On their “Showboat Girls” page they promise topless waitresses and lap dances in an “Adult Floating Nightclub” every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

There’s also a dedicated website for the enterprise.

Now I don’t have a particular objection to this sort of business, but I had thought it was supposed to be confined to the industrial precincts.

So it’s OK as long as it floats?

What’s Your opinion?

i have given his girls dance/stripping lesson and he gave me a headache in return.

Isn’t stripping mostly considered a successful action if you’re wearing fewer clothes at the end of a show than you had on at the beginning?
Surely the expressive dancing, arousing elements of personal style, and confidence/conviction were the major contributing factors in getting paid for your services, not just the ‘ending up with less clothes’ part?
Otherwise they’d just hire nude models…
