By johnboy 12 November 2013

Firefighters have quickly extinguished a fire at a school in Weston Creek tonight.

ACT Fire & Rescue was alerted to the incident at Stromlo High in Badimarra Street Waramanga via an automatic fire alarm at 10:30pm.

Fire crews arrived a short time later to find a small fire inside a photographic dark room on the premises which they contained to the immediate area and extinguished before causing any serious damage.

The fire is believed to have been started by an electrical fault.
