sprinkles

Our 2 y/o chocolate burmese cat Sprinkles went missing from Lansdown Crescent in Casey on Sunday, 17th July 2011.

She has short light brown fur with darker brown face, ears, paws and tail. She is quite small and can be timid at first. It is likely that she is locked in someone’s garage or has wandered into someone’s house (we hope!). She belongs to our 4 y/o son James, who, along with us is heartbroken to lose such a dearly loved little fur kid! There is a possibiliy that she accidently hitched a ride in the back of an ‘Auswide’ removalists truck which was headed from to Macquarie…

A photo and full description of Sprinkles can be found via RSPCA link.

Sprinkles is desexed and microchipped. We are prepared to offer a substantial reward for information leading to her return. Please contact us if you can help! (0410 216 607 or 0400 893 986)

Thank you Canberra!

Casey? Aren’t all cats there meant to be strictly indoors only?

So pleased to hear there is hope….how did you find her???

Glad you found her, and I imagine she was glad to see you.

yeah for Sprinkles. No sign of Max. 🙁

Yes the Nicholls Brown cat is the one i found whilst looking for Sprinkles. This one was not microchipped so my mum has adopted her and she will be living in their brand new house on a property. Im sure she will love it there until her owners are located.

We found Sprinkles today. Thanks everyone for your help anyway.

WOOHOO! So glad to hear you got her back 🙂

Yay Sprinkles!

perhaps sprinkles has moved to woden and become a drain cat ?

I walk past this drain every morning and haven’t seen a Burmese but I’ll keep my eyes open 😉

Seriously though, in case you haven’t seen it – there’s a female brown cat found in Nicholls on the TAMS site:
http://www.domesticanimals.act.gov.au/LostFound.asp?LFID=38326&EventType=Found

perhaps sprinkles has moved to woden and become a drain cat ?

i hope you find her soon, missmkaw, she looks really sweet. more than likely someone has taken her in as a cute stray and hasn’t thought to check her checked for the microchip. i’ll assume you have put up posters at shops and bus-stops in both casey and macquarie?

Good luck missmakw, I hope your cat is found.

Enough of the BS. Yes your antagonistic comments are so clever and we get it! You’re smarter than all of us. “All hail the superGeeks.” Perhaps your oversized ego caused you to miss the point of this story or perhaps your aims are purely vindictive. Who really cares what you think. To those offering your support we thank you very much. Yes we are trying to teach our son some responsibility and yes our ‘predominantly indoor’ cat has gone missing. Whilst you might sit there smugly judging my partner and my parenting skills, i only hope that he grows up with the ability to look on other peoples misfortune with compassion as the majority of those partaking in this discussion have.

So good to see you are teaching James about responsible pet ownership. You do not treat a “dearly loved” creature like this. Unless of course you’d also let James roam the streets and offer a reward if he doesn’t come home…

Unfortunately for you s-s-a your parents failed to instil these morals whilst you were ‘growing up.’ I’m sure you are perfect and it is everyone else causing you to make mistakes in life.

I often wonder how people who advocate brutally killing someone’s pet cat would feel if something similar happened to their own pets.

I wonder the same thing about the ‘heroes’ on this site who troll family and friends of the recently deceased.

Its disgraceful really, I don’t know why you would post such a comment….when you know how expensive ammunition is when a bucket of water is free!

Have been trying to reply for some time now but all I can think of are four letter words. Here is the tamest of them: Tool.

Hook line & sinker??

Hardly. Just thought I’d take the opportunity to point out how he comes across – not that I expect he cares as I think ‘tool’ seems to be the look he’s going for…

don’t give up – we suddenly had a cat appear at a family member’s place. Obviously wasn’t a stray as it was bolshy, friendly and desperate to come inside. Didn’t know whether he was lost or just lived 3 doors up the road and was just after takeaway food as well as his own – so he was fed. After a week we took him to a vet and checked if he had a microchip. He was registered and vets got the owner’s details and rang them. Apparently they sounded desperately happy he was alive. We left our details with the vet but the owner never even rang to say thanks.

Oh well, – at least he was wanted. We were happy to tell them where he was found, that we’d looked after it and the like.

Yeah, most cats I catch just snarl and hiss at me but every now and again I get one that lets out a meow and goes for the back rub through the bars of the cage……they all end up in the same place.

Would that be in a sack with a 22, to the head.

Just ignore them. Due to some mental illness, Capt RAAF seems to take pride in decriptions of violence against cats. I’m sure there’s a name for a disorder like that, but the only thing I know is that the more you react, the worse his condition gets.

Hope your cat turns up soon.

Cap’n Raaf is clearly trolling you cat lovers. The more you bite, the more he’ll keep doing it. It’s pretty funny really.

It’s called “stir-crazy” – if he can’t find someone to stir, he goes crazy (er)

Hope the cat’s OK, anyhow.

Sorry to hear that you have lost your cat, We lost ours about 3 weeks ago in Macquarie, Loki, a small 4 year old Blue Burmese (actual colour is Grey) with a blue collar, he was also desexed and microchipped.

I suppose you’ve done the bleeding obvious and contacted the removal company, drivers, and neighbours around the drop off point?

So good to see you are teaching James about responsible pet ownership. You do not treat a “dearly loved” creature like this. Unless of course you’d also let James roam the streets and offer a reward if he doesn’t come home…

He’ll likely turn up. Our cat once went missing for a week, but then turned up. I think it got locked in a partially built house.

I wonder if Captain RAAF lives in Casey?

No, I do not, however, on Saturday alone I caught two cats and one small dog in my trap. Sadly, the Weston Creek RSPCA was full……………

The cat above was not one of them.

Hope he comes home soon!

I wonder if Captain RAAF lives in Casey?

Oh no! Poor Max. I did notice him on the RSPCA website.
We had some hope this morning when a man found a burmese cat in his dogs kennel. Not our Sprinkles, though i did take this burmese as it was looking very skinny and disheveled. We are taking him/her to the RSPCA this afternoon, hopefully it is microchipped and will be reunited with a worried family today. Thoughts are with you and we will be on the look out for Max.

PickedANickname2:59 pm 19 Jul 11

Good luck in finding your kitty! It seems to be the week for it.

Ours went missing last Wednesday, too 🙁
Max’s details

Don’t have any information to offer but I hope you find your furry friend soon! I have two cheeky Tonks at home which are inside cats partly because their curious nature and my fear of this very thing happening.

Good luck!
