ACT Policing has arrested a 34-year-old man of no fixed abode, following a pursuit this afternoon (Sunday, November 4).
Around 11am police attempted a traffic stop on white Daihatsu in Stuart Street, Griffith.
The car failed to stop and police activated lights and sirens, pursuing the car through various streets in Griffith and Narrabundah.
The car mounted a gutter in Deeban Place causing a flat tyre. The vehicle came to a stop in Nimbin Street, Narrabundah and the driver exited the vehicle, running down the road.
After a short foot chase police apprehended the driver and he was taken the ACT Watch House.
The man was charged with a range of traffic offences including failure to stop, driving while disqualified and driving with the incorrect number plates attached to the vehicle. He was released on Watch House bail and will be summonsed to court at a later date.
The vehicle pursuit lasted for 3 minutes with the highest speed reached 120km/h in a 60km/h zone.
