Sweet icy goodness - Gelato review

Mitchell is not where you might expect to find heaven in a waffle cone, but that is exactly where I found it.

Pure Gelato is tucked away in this area of Canberra which the uninformed south siders (myself included) may consider a faux-Fyshwick.

As well as a dozen or so flavours available to eat there, they sell heaps of take home packs with such delights as peanut butter fudge, blood orange, marello cherry, bounty coconut and so many others that I think I will be taking the trip beyond thunder dome (ie: north side) fairly regularly from now on.

Highly, highly recommended!

Gary the baker who works at Deeks in Pearce makes Gelato on the side. Absolutelyfukkingdelicious, as opposed to the commercial stuff made in 1000 litre tubs at a factory in Western Sydney.
Best Gelato I have ever tasted ( and I am a fat bastard so Ive tried a lot).

I might have to take a trip down as well, so far my gelato sampling in Canberra has been less than satisfactory…I even resorted to buying an icecream maker to make my own which is pretty good, but doesn’t compare to the stuff I used to get at Cibo in SA.

Thanks went today. Was lovely and the young girl who served us was very pleasant. Lots of different flavours to purchase in 1 litre containers but at $15 each think i might just take the kids for a treat every now again. One scoop of anything on a waffle cone is $3 each

Its address is Flemington Road but it’s sort of tucked away in one of those side streets near the car wash. There’s a big sign, though. Seriously, the best gelato I have ever tasted. And I admit to sampling a lot in my time.

Where abouts is it weeziepops??????? Love gelato at this house.
