By popular demand the election digest returns. A blog within a blog things will be added as they arrive and will often be items that wouldn’t get their own story.

If you want your material included mail it in to john@the-riotact.com and keep checking this page through the day.

We begin.

‘#teamkaty’… looks like the Presidentialisation of Australian Politics thesis is coming along nicely.

Not really sure if that’s helpful though in a Hare-Clarke electorate. It’s not the favoured candidate who needs the profile, it’s the next 4 down who have to gain the hinge seats. And for the life of me, I couldn’t say one thing about most of them because they’re such non-entities.

I dare say the Liberals have the right marketing approach, ‘Vote Liberal and Vote only Liberal.’

The Property Council made clear they hate Andrew Barr’s tax reform plan.

If you read their press release its because they want stamp duty phased out more quickly than Mr Barr does.

Obviously you have been out of the country – be careful where you bandy the word shame about, especially in relation to a woman.

I’m not saying anyone or anything died about it.
