T-shirt wearing dog?

On my Woden to Civic bus ride this morning I heard Action HQ warning the driver (whilst stifling laughter) of a dog in the Civic interchange wearing a red t-shirt.

Sadly, when the bus arrived the dog was nowhere to be seen.

Did anyone see it? Or was it a figment of someone’s imagination?

I saw this dog in woden interchange too, as long as the dog is comfortable dog clothing is adorable, I put a fleece jumper on my mini fox terrier when it gets cold because she has short hair and fox terriers are quite sensitive to the cold. However this particular dog didn’t look that cute because the shirt was pretty awful.

I take my dogs on walks with collars and leads as its the law. And yes, everything with 4 legs in my house is desexed and vaccinated.

Dressing them up in frills and whatnot is the BS. They are dogs, not cutesy Anne Geddes critters

You should not take your dogs on walks because he didn’t decide to wear a collar and lead. And I hope you didn’t get him vaccinated?! Unless he decided to take himself to the vet. And pay the bill.

What BS. Who cares if a dog is wearing a t-shirt. Or a tutu for all I care. I’m sure the dog doesn’t give a toss.

They look so cute in those garbage bags, don’t they…

I have seen the dog and owner regularly – the dog walks ahead with its lead dragging on the ground, the owner wanders around behind in a daze communicating with the other civic “characters”.

The times i have seen it it has been in the bus interchange so the warhning may have been because it may have run in front of a bus, or something like that.

The Kelpie of Few Accomplishments used to dress up, mostly with green bags, but once he got his way into a bikini top.

He’s got a coat for walks on rainy days (saves towelling, makes for a happier dog).

I know someone who makes dresses for her dogs, puts matching ribbons in their hair and even buys them gold jewellery. I would not have believed it if I hadn’t seen it. At first I assumed she was nuts but I think she just finds it ridiculously cute. It really is!

why?

I have dogs. They have a tremendous life.

However, I don’t feel the need to put them in t-shirts, fancy dog glasses or tutus either.

Does that make me a bad owner?

no, just a bit silly.

all the dogs you know don’t wear clothes and are happy.

therefore you believe that all dogs that wear clothes must be unhappy.

Some dogs wear shirts called Thunder shirts to keep them calm during storms. I forget how they work but a lot of people report that they work.

i saw a lady with a red/brown crossbred dog (possibily containing a portion of staffy flavour) sitting on a chair outside the new McDonalds construction. I personally thought what a crock given the dog wouldn’t have chosen to put it on itself.

Dogs do not belong in handbags or wearing clothes, unless they’re old, they’re a whippet type in winter or they are sick.

wow, I feel sorry for you

It has been cold this past winter and I often put a jacket or shirt on MarcothepoloDOG on chilly mornings. He does not mind and he looks rather fetching.

Yep, I saw it while I was on the bus. It was wearing a red t-shirt alright. The dog had a lead attached but its owner didnt look too keen on using it.

You can buy lots of dog T-Shirts on Café Press. I wonder what the happy workers in the Dominican Republic (or wherever) make of them, as they make them?

He probably answers to Red dog
