How absurd is the latest ranting from the Tuggeranong Community Council (Canberra Times, 8 April 2013, Page 2) One week we have the TCC calling for more development and now they don’t want any. Today the TCC has called for an immediate halt to all future building and construction in South East Tuggeranong until the TCC President gets his way and master plan for Calwell.
While we are at it, why not a master plan for Gowrie, Fadden, Chisholm and Richardson. His statements, in my opinion, are only to prop up his family business interests in the Calwell Shopping Centre.
The TCC President seems to forget we have already had hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars spent on master plans for Erindale, the Tuggeranong Town Centre and here in my own suburb of Kambah.
Before he continues his one man campaign for Calwell, the TCC President should check his Council’s Code of Conduct and the part on “conflict of interest.” He can find it on his own Council’s website.
