Normally we’re more interested in policy announcements than the stage managed fluff of campaign launches (or Leaders debates sadly).
But every now and then someone does something that has to be shared.
Like this from the Pirates:
Wednesday, September 19 is International Talk Like a Pirate and Pirate Party ACT will be jumping on the bandwagon to stage its campaign launch.
Where: Public Jetties, Lake Burley Griffin (in front of Canberra Yatch Club) Mariner Place, off Alexandriana Drive
When: Launch, 1:30pm, Wednesday
Who: Our three candidates, plus various costumed rogues and ship’s captains to cheer them on.
What: Speeches, policy … and cake. No rum unless you would like to join us for a drink afterwards.
The launch should last no longer than 15 minutes and there will be ample opportunity to interview candidates, discuss policy and grab some pirate-themed pics.
