As one of the staff who doesn’t work in O&G, I can confirm that it’s still a huge problem. It was never confined to just one department, nor one profession, and more’s the pity.

Many have told me over the past two years it’s the lack of staff and lack of bed space in the wards which causes them the most grief in getting their jobs done.

Agree with this – adequate staffing has always been an issue, and continues to be so. Bullying and harassment from admin and one’s own ranks just adds to the matter.

So how are the Liberals going to improve things in the hospital system? If you say changing administrative procedures it will guarantee I won’t vote for your “team” – cause shifting deck chairs on the Titanic can only lead to more tragedy.

Much of the old scourge in administrative ranks have thankfully moved on over the years, but there’s still a lot of people in middle-management who have retained and perpetuated their bad habits. I don’t know what either major party propose to do about the hospital system (the cynic in me suggests that precious little will happen, regardless), but it is worth mentioning that TCH is heavily staffed with administrators and managers at high cost who contribute very little, if anything, to direct patient care. As such, a restructuring of these staff, with funding going back to those working at the coalface would be a good start. TCH is currently farcical in its Yes Minster-esque over-supply of non-clinical staff.

They know there are many of us, who still havent gotten over what they did to us, in our chosen place of work. They did everything they could to get rid of us, and to shut us up. But i have a feeling that justice might finally be served. It. Can be pretty scary to be threatened, and its scary when they turn their back on you, but all of you be brave. Xx

Wouldn’t fudging a few figures and cooking the books be cheaper – oh, hang, they’ve tried that one already haven’t they………….

How much of this is federal money?

So let me get this right. ACT Treasury has stuffed the Budget full of “decided but not announced” policy measures for Katy to announce during the election campaign?

Was that disclosed in the Pre-election Budget Update?

Has Zed been told how much money there is stuffed away in the Budget, which he could use to fund his election promises?
