ACT Policing has charged two men following an aggravated burglary in Farrer yesterday (Thursday, May 16).
Police attended a residence in Farrer in response to reports of an aggravated burglary. The two offenders are understood to have gained entry to the residence through the rear door of the house.

Property stolen included a backpack, electronic tablet, camera and keys to a motor vehicle.

Around 2.55pm yesterday police located the two offenders at a service station in Kambah where they were in possession of the stolen items.

An 18-year-old Kambah man and 18 year-old Narrabundah man will face ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with aggravated burglary, theft and taking vehicle without consent. Police will be opposing bail.

At least while they’re in custody they won’t be out committing burglaries. We can’t expect police, courts, govt etc to reduce property crime if we don’t want to wear one of the by products which means people on remand. It’s the only option for recidivist offenders that actually works.

I think these two kids should be executed, in fact that is the perfect solution to the young offender problem. Executing them while they are young means nobody becoming career criminals and no more taxpayers money being wasted on luxury detention centres for the little darlings.

I agree, but add to the execution list, and right wing person, and religious person and any bogan.

We just solved all of Australia’s problems right there.

A bit on the harsh side but it would solve any real or perceived population issues…

Gonna have to rely on the lefties to re populate. Nerds like me will have no time for humping since all the bigot filth will be gone from Xbox live so it will be a pleasure to pleh again!

That sort of softly softly approach is what has got us into this mess in the first place!

Further, anyone still alive after crashing a stolen car causing death or injury to innocent victims, should cop quantity one LSWCHP administered behind the right ear…

I reckon it’s about time that the gummint mass produced miniature mully’s and anyone convicted of an offence should be forced to wear ’em around their neck.

But remanded in custody for months while they wait for their good talking to… http://www.canberratimes.com.au/act-news/burgled-pair-are-remanded-in-custody-20130517-2jrov.html

And given a good talking to.

I think you may be too harsh on them, dont forget this is the ACT. I think they will get a glare from his worship, and if the magistrate is having a particularly bad day, possibly a finger wagging with a “promise you wont be naughty again”.

A good talking to may hurt their feelings.

And given a good talking to.
