"Terror is Everywhere" Squeals Stefaniak.

Fresh from a mauling by Stanhope the Hedgehog, Bill Stefaniak felt the need to put out his own media release warning that terrorists are everywhere and we can only be safe with uniform laws.

Anyway if Bill thinks we need uniform laws, at any cost, then perhaps he should put his money where his mouth is and get out of the ACT’s lawmaking body?

UPDATED: Was the Chief Minister having a bad day yesterday? He’s now put out a media release in response to Big Bill. I fear Our Brave Leader is in danger of blowing a gasket if he maintains the rage at this level.

“Today, for the second day in a row, Mr Stefaniak has publicly and unilaterally passed judgment on the worth of evidence presented to the inquiry, showing utter contempt for his fellow standing-committee members, for the committee process and even for his own role as chairman of the committee,”

Once upon a time, censors wer a lot more innocent and didn’t spot the occasional obscenity that comedians snuck past them (Spike Milligan put a character called “Martha Farquar” into the Goons, and that wasn’t noticed either!)

“Cunning Stunts” was my fav episode during season 5 in ’75…geez I’m old…

My mate actually got to meet them and got a tshirt signed…. thats is like something from so many former children’s wildest dreams.. meeting the goodies… no bill signature though

Um, that would be the tour that they’ve already done twice now (once with Bill last March, once without last November)?

and Graeme Garden and Tim Brooke-Taylor are to come out here on a revival tour , and rumors of a vid link with the hairy one himself, Bill “Give you the Bird” Oddie abound. Keep an eye out for them.

I had alot of those Goodies shows on VHS. I’ll have to get them all on DVD i think.

Don’t need to worry about region DVD’s there is so many multi region players now and also plenty of software to re flash your DVD on your pc. Or even software that allow you to use your unflashed region drive on any region DVD.

So hard to get his first three on region 4 DVD.

Must… not… emule…… GAHHHH!

There is an easter egg in that film, during the cliff scene you can see a person dressed in black holding the rope. Or at least IMDB said so, I have to watch it again to confirm it…

Props Maelinar – I revisited that movie a couple of months ago… and that line in particular had me in stitches.. its all in the delivery…

the nature of any representative democracy and its elected houses is to pass legislation to solve problems.

terrorists = anti-terror legislation.
road deaths = anti-speeding legislation.
droughts = anti-sprinkler legislation.

the provisions of the crimes act would have dealt adequately with the criminals/terrorists involved without impinging upon our ever decreasing personal liberty.
