That's how we roll - Brumbies 32 v. Bulls 31

It was a vibrant, pulsating spectacle, but the Brumbies got their long noses out over the cows to win 32-31, with a much needed four try bonus point.

Keo have coverage.

How good is Leilifano when he runs at the line? Pretty damn good I reckon.

UPDATE: The ABC brings word that Guy Shepherdson has been rubbed out for two weeks for delivering a knee to the head of an opponent. It’s possible that this was a square up for Steven Moore who copped a knee and was stretchered off.

While it’s a shame to lose the best part of the whole front row out of a single incident, there is a silver lining. Shep will now have time to get a much needed haircut.

> I would say two tries that shouldn’t have been awarded in a 1 point win is pretty lucky.

That sort of thing that happens all the time…& not always in the Brumbies favour.

I would say two tries that shouldn’t have been awarded in a 1 point win is pretty lucky.

It certainly is a log-jam in the top half of the table. That’s the beauty of Super Rugby…it goes right down to the wire.

Some of you lot are a tough crowd…..they won. It wasn’t luck either….the Bulls are no easy-beats & the Brumbies were missing key players. I know Leiliafano has copped a lot a flack this season (I’ve thrown a little at him myself), but consider how many games he has single handedly won for us in the last minutes….I know it’s at least two. Earned his salary right there.

If we can field some second rowers for the next few weeks…& if Gerard gets back on the paddock (not that Ashley Cooper played badly at all…& Stirlo had his best game for the year out on the wing), then we’re in with a chance.

Well, it’s a mathematical possibility now.

I think any side will be quite pleased to make the finals at all from here.

One lucky win and that oaf Peter Fitzgerald is forecasting a ‘home semi-final’ in the Canberra Times.

Leiliafano shows excellent skills when running with the ball in hand and in defence. His passing and kicking skills are fragile. (I might be being a bit harsh – he did throw a perfectly placed pass to Habana.) I may be only a forward but who looks at this man and thinks he would be great at no. 10? The only one I have seen with kicking and passing skills that suggest he might be a good fly half is Gerrard. Hard to move him from fullback where he is so good, though.

Looking at how the Brumbies played to squeak in this undeserved win doesn’t give me much optimism for the rest of the season.

Re Shepherdson – having been reported by the assistant ref for kneeing the Bulls player in the head (and it wasn’t exactly subtle from what I saw on TV) I was surprised the ref didn’t red card him. I thought that should be automatic for acts of thuggery, whereas the yellow is more for the persistent infringers.

The Brumbies also got the rub of the ref decisions. One try the ball was dropped over the line, another from a knock on.

As much as I hate to say it, you are absolutely right my friend. Love the Bunties but tipped the Bulls last night. No sour grapes but I think the Bulls lost the game for themselves with poor options and destroying good field position. Kirchner, their full back, kicked easy kicks out on the full how many times?

The Brumbies also got the rub of the ref decisions. One try the ball was dropped over the line, another from a knock on.

Once they stopped the aerial ping pong in the second half and started running at the line again they were great.

Oh…. pick me, pick me!

foxtel is my super 14 friend. im blind. in so many senses of the word.

I have never seen a team screw a game as royally as the Bulls did tonight (I tipped them). To be honest if the possession had have been 50/50 in the first half the Yarpies would have won by 20. Well done to the Brumbies though

can you stop posting the score in the title.

that’s twice now.

aaaaaaaaaaargh.
