Joy Burch has announced the recipients of the 2010-11 ACT Women’s Grants Program.

An organisation that helps women attain employment by supplying them with appropriate
clothing and accessories to attend a job interviews and the proposed publication of a legal
system information guide for victims of domestic violence are among recipients to share in
$100,000 from the 2010-11 ACT Women’s Grants Program.

The 10 recipients included Working Wonders Inc, a not-for-profit organisation launched in March that helps women attain employment by supplying them with appropriate clothing and accessories to attend a job interview. Working Wonders received a grant of $4800 to assist it to meet the needs of women with disabilities.

Other recipients included the Women’s Legal Centre ACT & Region Inc, the Australian Red Cross, YWCA, the Women’s Centre for Health Matters, and the Australia Mon Association Inc.
