TAMS want us to know that be it Advent or New Year’s Eve the National Arboretum wants your business:
How would you like to celebrate the New Year from one the best vantage points in Canberra? The National Arboretum Canberra will ring in 2014 in style with the glitz and glamour of The Great Gatsby.
“The official opening of the National Arboretum Canberra has been a highlight in our centenary year, and I couldn’t think of a better way to end 2013 than with the breathtaking views from the Arboretum’s Village Centre,” Jason Brown, General Manager, National Arboretum Canberra said today.
“The Great Gatsby themed New Year’s eve function, hosted by Ginger Catering, will see out the year with canapés on arrival, a three course meal, beverages and live entertainment by the Baker Boys Band.”
The function costs $150 per person and will start at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 31 December 2013 and run until 1 am on New Year’s day.
Mr Brown also invited people to celebrate the lead up to Christmas with the Arboretum.
“The Village Centre will stay open until 7 pm on Wednesday 18 December 2013 to give people a unique twilight experience. Come along to enjoy Christmas treats, egg nog cocktails and, for the first time, the opportunity to purchase tree species which grow at the Arboretum.
“I also encourage people to consider the Conservatory Restaurant for their Christmas party. Where else can you enjoy a three course a la carte lunch while enjoying the panoramic views of the lake, surrounded by forests?
The real question of course is will they organise the taxi home?
