The Band Broke Up - Part the fourth

After a day spent wrestling with the YouTube uploader I can now present highlights of the final installment of “The Band Broke Up” as performed live at The Front in Lyneham.

Highlights include a rare performance of his own work by Sam King, a new song by Matty Ellis, and Jim Sharrock leading a sing-a-long in near darkness.

As this was the last of the series you’ve pretty much missed out. But I’m sure there will be other shows at The Front, other shows put on by the Canberra Musicians Club (Waistcoats Whiskers and Whiskey at Corroboree Park this Friday for example), and the official after-party at DNA Studios this Saturday night, the Allstars Acoustic Festival (hurry tickets selling fast).

I’ve enjoyed myself immensely the last four weeks and will be very sorry to see the end of it.

Huge thanks to Matty Ellis for organising The Band Broke Up and to all his broken up musicians for coming along and making it so special.

Hey, ho! You’ll never, never know until you go, young Mutley!

: )

Ten out of ten, a gold star and an elephant stamp, blood_nut. Very much enjoyed.

(I hope Mutley doesn’t mind this flagrant and gratuitious implication about what I’ve been doing with my recent Tuesday evenings. I’m sure I’ll be told if that’s the case.)

Me too, bloodnut!

: )

Thanks to The RA crew who formed a regular part of our amazing audience – for their good cheer and kind exposure over the season. I have experienced few things as wonderful as those shows.
