0

Working out is so much better when you find a good gym with a fun and friendly atmosphere. With so many to choose from, it’s no wonder you might have difficulties picking your favourite go-to workout spot. You’re busy and you don’t have time to test them all. This is where we can help.

A good gym will make you feel comfortable and welcome. They may even offer specialised classes so you can work out in a group. You can tone your body and have fun while you stay in shape. When you look good, you feel good.

After going through our local readers’ posts, we’ve put together a list of the top three gyms in Googong. Let’s get started.

What Makes a Good Gym?

Not all gyms are created equal. There are a few traits you want your gym to have for a fun and safe environment.

  • The layout makes sense. The layout of the areas and equipment have to make sense in order to maximise the gym’s efficiency and safety. It makes sense to put the weights and cardio equipment next to the weightlifting station. Mirrors are also a must-have because they help to prevent injuries when you’re lifting.
  • Resilient flooring. A lot of people spend their entire visit on the floor. The colours have to appeal to your mindset and get you ready to work out. Having a resilient gym floor increases the shock absorption. This is important when people lift and drop weights as well as do exercises like push-ups, yoga, and burpees.
  • Clean and well-maintained equipment.Think about what types of exercises you plan on doing. Is there equipment available for it? The gym’s equipment should also be very well-maintained and clean with no obvious issues or safety hazards.
  • Professional and helpful staff. The gym’s staff should reflect the customer’s goals. You want them to be professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Ask for certifications and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
