At the Canberra Irish Club
36 Parkinson Street
Weston Creek

For anyone interested in anything Burlesque, the Burlesque Bazaar is for you! This day is brought to you by locals, Miss Kitka’s House of Burlesque.

Come along and enjoy 4 hours of Burlesque related stalls, demonstrations, food, and performances.

Entry is $5 which gives you 5 Kitka dollars that can be redeemed at any stall when you spend $20 or more.

Support your local Burlesque dancers and help them peddle their wares whilst raising money to fund their costumes for the next Miss Kitka Show in July 2010.

There will be performances and raffles by the fabulous Miss Kitka’s folks throughout the day.

For readers who have been looking for rockabilly, vintage and burlesque-inspired fashion — this is a great line-up of local, Canberra-based suppliers — so come and take a look at what has been happening in the scene on your very own turf.

You’ll find us there with a range of vintage (real and vintage-inspired), burlesque, steampunk, sci-fi and rockabilly fashion, lingerie, books, Roller Derby-esque hosiery, hats, jewellery, purses, gifts, travel items and accessories.

Local photographer Lisa from ShuttleBug Baby will be there too, with her pinup-style photo booth, so you can get yourself kitted out with glamorous delights — yes we’re happy to help with styling — then get a portrait taken with your yummy new purchases.

We know there will also a fab range of pasties, other accessories and art available for your delectation. Other stallholders might like to tell us what to expect?

Come along for a very fun (and probably rather unusual) day in Weston Creek.

miss kitka’a house of burlesque,(what a concept) Burlesque competitions and alike, are not open to the general public as believed by many. girls have tryed to enter her competitions locally and are being told that you must have done a miss kitka’s course, to be concidered valid enterant. Sounds alittle dodgy.. has anybody had a simular experience?
