Canberra Times

Media Watch had some fun last night with last week’s Canberra Times quiz in which all the answers were a euphemism for, ahem, owls.

Apparently the miscreant has been shown the door.

The Canberra Times last paying subscribers might want to hold onto their edition though, it’s going to be famous.

Okay, surely we can create our own locally themed quiz:

Q1. The name of the ACT Deputy Chief Minister is Mr A…

Q2. Name the position in Australian Senate currently held by Brien Hallett…

Q3. A famous rally jump in the ACT region is called the Mine…

Why would they “bone” him? This is the biggest thing to come out of the Canberra Times.

I was just about to comment on the disappointing lack of sophomoric double entendres in the first few comments…

they sacked the quiz writer for this? Seems a bit heavy-handed. Unless he was leaving and this was his parting shot.

I would have said that the decision to fire him was … a bit stiff.

Haha, and beautifully presented by Jonathan Holmes as well. Hmm, I wonder, any relation?

Obviously he put a lot of work into that. I’m impressed

I giggled when I saw that on media watch last night. I wonder if there is a copy lying around….

This is why they need locals producing these things, no mention of owls!
