The Chisholm Park rumble

It started with the Liberals’ Brendan Smyth getting down in the weeds to announce that a Liberal Government would save the park at the corner of Heagney and Deamer Crescents in Chisholm. That went out around 6am this morning.

Just before 10am Labor responded saying they too would save the park.

It’s certainly a good time in the electoral cycle to kick up a fuss.

This is a fantastic win by the community. I am celebrating!

It’s amazing what passes for a ‘park’ in this city.

I thought it was a building block on which some misguided person from the govt had erected a play gym

Hands up if you clicked on this because you thought the story was about an actual brawl.

Yep! Especially given that it was Chisholm.

Yep. I’m always in the market for a good punch up story.

Me too! Does this mean we’re all just expecting the worst?

Why, do you want to make something of it? (-:

We should elect Leslie Knope to fill in the pit and build a park. (Parks and rec anyone?)

ACT Labor listening to what Canberrans actually want?! What the hell is going on here?

I love ACT elections, they’re some sort of weird hybrid of a state and council election…..
