I came across this in Hobart Place yesterday and thought it worthy of your consideration.

Of course all the criminal scumbags are critical of the Ben Aulich Memorial Rock because they have not been falsely accused or have not had to defend their reputation and good name in a court of law. Here is one firm in Canberra with the skill and ability to take on the oppressive might of lying complainants and lying police and to fight the good fight for the man in the suburbs and what do the scumbags want to do? They want to stand on their stolen milk crates and throw stones! Is anyone really surprised? Good on you Ben Aulich & Associates for having balls and a sense of humour

Definitely a piss take. And honestly, if my job was to get pedophiles, bikies and wife bashers out of trouble I’d probably take the piss out of it too. If you don’t laugh…you’d cry.

Do you have to get permission to put something like this up or can any ego maniac get one knocked up and put it wherever they want?

I say they are no different to the d***heads who spray paint tags on buildings or fences – they’re only richer….

If you ever met Ben Aulich you would understand this is a piss-take. It’s all well and good to bag him but whenever the police or any other lawyer get in trouble they always call him. That says something.

+1. Let him have his fun.

The combination of self-agrandisement, delusion and pointlessness of the plaque is certainly nauseating.

However, to be fair, Ben Aulich and co don’t tend to represent the very bottom of an already scummy barrel: we have the esteemed Kami Saeedi to thank for that.

Oh ffs! It’s funny, laugh!

And besides, criminal defence is one of those crap jobs that someone has to do if we truly believe everyone deserves their day.

Purveyors of luxury vehicles, and many of the other finer material things in life, should follow suit and pay for a nearby plaque honouring the legal fraternity. Still, this is preferable to aggravating TV adverts.

A memorial to Ben Aulich’s ego. The man has no sense of decency. His mother must be so ashamed of him.

Jeez, that inscription is so far from any reality that I see. Self serving and delusional. “Fearless criminal defence advocates”? Strewtherama…

I suppose they can afford to be fearless simply because they actually have nothing to fear. They’re not the ones who’ll end up in the slammer if they cock up, so what’s the problem?

I imagine the fearful ones would actually be the perps, like those ADFA Skype idiots tho other day.

I think I may have just vomited a little in my mouth the same as when I read an article by that other ‘fearless advocate’ Jennifer Saunders. Pathetic.

What do they have to fear? It’s not like we live in one of those banana republics where lawyers can get killed or go to jail for representing the wrong person.

Perhaps they fear some of their clients when the court decisions go against them!

Who or what are they afraid of? Their clients?

He lists Peta Credlin as his most recent victory.

So the RiotAct consensus is that everyone facing criminal charges is guilty ? Why even have trials then ?

A good idea .. Marge Simpson quoting her Uncle Arthur.

( Marge: Your Uncle Arthur used to have a saying. “Shoot em’ all and let God sort it out.” Unfortunately, one day he put his theory into practice. It took 75 federal marshals to bring him down. Now, let’s never speak of him again.

This proves what a mob of wankers the legal fraternity really is.

What defence lawyers “fearlessly” do is find loopholes in law to try and get their scumbag clients more lenient sentences. They are no better than the scum they represent.

couldnt say it better myself.

This is truly a statement on how delusional the legal community are.

Well, you have to work pretty hard to get those charges in the first place.

we live in this thing called a democracy. But it does seem a bit of a waste of time when we have multiple retrials with the same outcome.

So the RiotAct consensus is that everyone facing criminal charges is guilty ? Why even have trials then ?

One of the most distasteful advertising features I’ve ever seen.

if only it were.

I suppose an ethical defence lawyer would work hard to defend you if you were charged with urinating on this memorial.

Though would the police arrest you, or just wait their turn?

“in search of justice’. I would have thought ‘ to obtain justice’,,
and then being a plaque for criminal defence advocates; ” and to be appear before Justice Higgy”..

In honour of those who bend the truth for crimey motherfuckers.

This proves what a mob of wankers the legal fraternity really is.

This new urinal is a bit out of my way but I will specially hold-on and make the trip when next out on the turps in Civic.
