YouTube brings us Richard Belihomji and the trebuchet he built at Daramalan College

It’s a lot of engineering to fling a basketball, but we like trebuchets.

I’m waiting for Nyssa et al to start demanding free trebuchets for government schools.

I still need a zeppelin, a trebuchet and 30
chinamen to play an elaborate prank – I wonder if they’ll let me borrow theirs ?

and virgins are a waste of time

The Females would have to be virgins V8, otherwise it wouldnt work.

Maybe they could use it to fling some hops, malt, females and a big deer into the air, so it can rain beer.

Trebuchets are hot. Where is this big hunk of man meat? hahaha

Good trebuchet – I’m impressed that it worked and kept working.

However, I fail to see the correlation between building a trebuchet and living life to the fullest.

Also – the camera person who was in charge of filming the clouds whilst searching for the flung object – top work.

Well, this chick digs trebuchets! 🙂

Well the chicks in the vid seemed to dig the trebuchet. Don’t all chicks dig trebuchets?

That is great. As El said kudos to the builder and the school for letting him build it. Combining physics and the construction of medieval war machines is a great twist to the curriculum.

Which chicks dig trebuchets?

This is something the physics class does at Darra on occaision. Here’s another youtube doco about the process http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nlylT5ePd4 Wish we did that when I was doing physics at highschool!

so did he live life to the fullest or what

I’ve always wanted a trebuchet.

Chicks dig trebuchets 😉

I paused my music so I could listen to the sound on the youtube video, I see this was a mistake.

Shaky camerawork makes me dizzy.

Kudos to the builder – I thought it was particularly impressive that it didn’t fall to bits after the first use.
