Good news everyone!

From here until December every day is going to last a little longer than the one before.

And today’s pretty bright and shiny too.

Don’t worry everyone. I’ve sacrificed an aurochs to ensure the sun-god is placated and returns his warmth to our crops. We shall not hunger this year.

The solstice seems to be different in the northern hemisphere. I remember reading once that June 22 (*not* June 21) is the longest day of the year in the US.

It varies from year to year. Sometimes its the 20th, sometimes 21st and sometimes the 22nd.

Is it run by the Cathodics just like Easter?

Ah memories of pagan shenanigans during the winter solstice come flooding back 🙂
