Witnesses are being sought by police after a 15-year-old youth was robbed of his bicycle while cycling in Isabella Plains on Saturday afternoon (July 30).
Around 3.30pm the 15-year-old victim was riding his bicycle along Ellerston Avenue in Isabella Plains when he was approached by a teenager near the Groveland Crescent intersection. The offender grabbed the handle bars of the victim’s bicycle pulling them away from the victim. The offender told the victim to get off the bicycle to which the victim complied. The offender then rode off on the victim’s bicycle along Ellerston Avenue, towards Monash.
The victim’s bicycle is described as having white handle bars, purple rims and white forks.
The offender is described as aged in his late teens, about 180cm (5’11”) tall with short brown hair. He was wearing a brown coloured hooded jumper and grey coloured pants.
A dark grey Commodore with three occupants came to the assistance of the victim but left the scene before police could speak to them.
