The end of the Filth forever .....!

I have it on good authority that the institution known as Filthy McFaddens in Kingston will not be reopening.

There was a glimpse of hope late last week, however the potential new purchaser pulled out due to complications at the point of sale.

The space is now empty, what could fill this void? I think King O’Malleys could take over the site and do a good job?

I haven’t been there for a while, but does this mean they’re pouring more than just Kilkenny Draught and Guinness Draught?

No. And they’re still serving them cold. Irish my a***hole.

and continue to support the local music scene by booking local acts each and every week!

dude – you’re overstretching. King O’Malley’s books second rate cover bands to provide muzak to early finishing public servants. The venue does nothing to encourage listening to live music (irish jam excepted).

btw. the heart you stapled to your sleeve looks to have have bled all over your arm.

“Dude” I’d be overstretching if I was an employee , however I am just a regular punter stating what I believe nothing more nothing less, and if that’s a bleeding heart so be it.
Anyway basis of this post is not lets slander omalleys , topic Filfhy Mcfaddens closed! gone forever! what next …..? Sound the alarms ?

I think they would do a great job , they are good local people contribute to charity and continue to support the local music scene by booking local acts each and every week!

And how does that make a good pub in any way, shape or form? Locally owned or not, O’Malley’s is just another generic booze barn/soulless profit machine. I don’t think the beer is going to taste any sweeter because the owners give to charity or come from ’round our way’.

It makes it a more pleasurable experience, for us booze hounds seeking booze barns.

The beer is also good and they have some nice ciders on tap. Do you have sour grapes because they are successful?

Bugger! I am sure King O’Malley’s could indeed take it over. And turn it to shit. What the ACT needs is more independent pubs, not mass produced profit factories. If only I had the cash…

King O’Malley’s is born , bred and created in Canberra and very independent, do me a favour for educational purposes google or bing King O’Malley see how it relates to Canberra, he is our jebediah Springfield, pun!

Why would you think King O’Malleys would do a good job? Do you like tacky faux-Irish-themed pubs or something?
