Thumper’s band The Feldons are being joined by Andy Ellis, himself no stranger to RiotACT, and Laughing Sam’s Dice to play a show at the Pot Belly on Friday night, doors at 8.

Thumper’s hoping a strong turnout will encourage Joan to put more live music shows on so Belconnenites have extra reason to trek down to Weedon Close (next to the laser tag joint) for a pint of coopers, a plate of chicken wings, and some great live music.

Ah, if only I had known! One nice happy punter did offer to dance with me, and I even considered it for half a second – but not without anybody else up there. Too embarrassment! One more person grooving along would have done it for me, I reckon!

Ah indeed. If I’d known you were there, we could have embarrassed ourselves together!

I think we’re on at the Transit in a couple of weeks.

See you there instead, Granny?

Granny, Loquaciousness said to tell you she was dancing in her seat (down in the old church pews behind the piano)

I couldn’t believe that nobody danced! I just about had to superglue myself to my bar stool.

The support band (Laughing Sam’s Dice) were a quite decent cover band. Their guitarist especially seemed to be enjoying himself, and he was particularly talented.
The Feldons surprised me by being quite different to most bands one sees at the Pot Belly – each of their songs was different enough to make sure the audience weren’t bored, and they weren’t trying to blow everyone away. Thumper seemed a tad unwell, but the performance was excellent, and I for one would be most keen to see them perform again, maybe when Thumper is a little less ill.

w00t, beer! Maybe wait until you’ve heard our set, I’ll let you decide if I’ve earned it. 😛

I’m always there – see u on the night

Ill be there I reckon – Ill see if Mrs Danman wants to come as well 🙂

The “new” Laughing Sam’s Dice is no relation to the old one. This will be our third public outing as a band. We do rock/alternative covers.

We’ve got a facebook page here, for those interested:

Will be good to put a face to the nickname, Thumper. 🙂

Yep…I’m there also..as is our guitarists (still playing..Sam from Little Smoke) Dad! He’s there for a few bands in the 70’s.

I just did a search for them. This page… http://www.geocities.com/ozepam/etol.html ..has them listed as:

Laughing Sam’s Dice
1994-1996
Bielec, Ted =Drums
Ihasz, Peter =Bass/Vocals
Rickwood, Mark =Guitar/Vocals

I’m sure we used to do gigs with Laughing Sams Dice back when I was still playing with Space Is Dead (a LONG time ago). Have they been around for ages?

Should this be a RiotACT gathering?
Will Thumper be collecting for that old fella’s medals?
What ever happened about the old fella and his medals?
(OT, yes, I know)
