matt watts and lego

Having kicked off a call for Lego to enable 2012’s Candidate Lego Challenge it was very pleasing to get our first donations to the communal candidate Lego pool from the Liberals’ candidate for Ginninderra, Matthew Watts.

If any other candidates want to bring some Lego in before the end of the month we can promise to give them equal prominence (and better lighting next time around).

Just remember candidates, if you don’t donate you can’t be sure the blocks you want will be available.

The Lego will be distributed to a suitable charity or non-profit org post-election.

We’re looking to kick off the three hour challenges, with time-lapse of construction, in August at a bar to be advised. Candidates who donate Lego can nominate the bar off their choice, others can come to us.

Donations from the wider public are still very much sought and you will be credited.

To donate email john@the-riotact.com and we’ll sort it out.

I recently ordered the new minecraft set, sorry I’m not sharing.

They should do this challenge except minecraft instead of lego, now that would be interesting watching the politicians get their head around such advanced computer technology.

If any candidates are spotted at this expo next weekend at Woden, should they receive bonus points for initiative or have points deducted for cheating?

We encourage initiative

I shall see what the kids may part with, but reality is they are at prime lego age right now so I could come off worse for the attempt!

Pfft for garbage trucks. We get to design a city with Stormtroopers!
Awesome – despot for a day. 😀

Looking forward to seeing your lego skillz Al (or even any donation you choose to make!)

A lego garbage truck. Finally an effort by the government to return to core service delivery. 🙂
