The Future for the Brumbies is now

RugbyHeaven have news of the Murray Darling Basin Brumbies injury woes.

Since then Rathbone has been confirmed as out.

So with the season to play for (away from home) can the new guard finally realise their potential?

Not without a second playmaker at inside centre in my opinion. Also the forwards need to remember where they left their testicles some weeks ago.

I hope so

You have used the correct terminology JB and just gone up a few in my eyes. I’m sure that brings you relief

hence my interest in the pigs.

if they go OK, the rest will follow.

In NZ the backline is not the issue. They have to get the ball 1st

well the two matts both rate themselves as linebreakers. them plus choker mortlock and gerrard should be more than enough backline power?

Sure you haven’t confused this for a Raiders thread?

having said that I sincerely hope I am proven wrong

as much as I love watching them play at their best, their season is nigh on over. it had to happen one day I suppose.

The pigs haven’t been playing badly at all. IMHO what the probnlem is that with all the injuries the boys cant play their free flowing attacking style without all the old heads out there, and as the brumbies haven’t really changed their backline moves for a couple of years, the methodical play that have been using this season has been seen by all the other temas and they can now pick where the ball will hit up at the advantage line. The soultion? more vary in backline play, and just get used to the fact that every now and then teams have a bad injury run. It’s not as though the brumbies are playing badly, the young guys who have been asked to step up haven’t been exposed to this level of footy, and they are having a hard time getting used to it without experienced heads guiding them round the paddock.

Testicles???? Oh you means BALLS pull my head (get it ) off. In all the games that I have been to and watched on telly it hasn’t been the forwards who missed the tackles ask the Waratahs 5/8 who missed him. Face it JB without Bernie the Gibralltor Falls Brumbies lack a play maker. Simple as that. No more excuses (you could throw in 12 injured players if you like)
